Would you like to have your child baptized at St. Anthony's? We would be so honored to provide this opportunity for you and your family, and we hope it will only be the beginning of many sacraments for your child here.
We celebrate infant baptisms for children up to the age of seven. Children past the age of seven are invited to prepare for and celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism through our RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) Adapted for Children. If you're an unbaptized adult, our Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults process might be right for you.
Please contact the parish office to schedule a baptism. Classes of preparation may be required. The Sacrament of Baptism may be celebrated during Mass or afterwards.
*Please note that at least one Godparent MUST be a confirmed and practicing Catholic.
You, Your Child, and the Heart of Baptism Reborn explores the deeply personal power of Baptism, bringing to light the spiritual reality for parents and godparents and, most importantly, the child being baptized. Rendered with a cinematic beauty that’s become the hallmark of the Augustine Institute’s film productions, Reborn presents the foundation of the Church’s teaching on Baptism, with a step-by-step explanation of the rite itself, including its profound place in Scripture and Tradition. Watch these amazing and informative preparation videos as you prepare for your child's baptism, your own baptism, or just want to learn more about your own baptism!
At St. Anthony's we live in the awareness that the Church is not a hotel for saints, but rather a hospital for sinners. Regardless of what you’ve done (or failed to do) recently, God is here for you. And He’s not leaving.
Confessions are heard every Saturday from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM at St. Anthony's, Sundays and Wednesdays from 7:30 - 7:50 am at St. Pius X, and by appointment through the church office.
Forgiven explores the grace and healing offered in Confession and shows how this sacrament of mercy reveals the depth and bounty of God’s love. By looking at God’s revelation of his mercy in Scripture and making a step-by-step examination of the Rite itself, Forgiven communicates God’s invitation to each one of us to come experience his indescribable love in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
The Sacrifice of the Mass offers us an opportunity to experience Jesus in the most intimate way possible - His Body and Blood.
"As Catholics, we fully participate in the celebration of the Eucharist when we receive Holy Communion. We are encouraged to receive Communion devoutly and frequently. In order to be properly disposed to receive Communion, participants should not be conscious of grave sin and normally should have fasted for one hour. A person who is conscious of grave sin is not to receive the Body and Blood of the Lord without prior sacramental confession except for a grave reason where there is no opportunity for confession. In this case, the person is to be mindful of the obligation to make an act of perfect contrition, including the intention of confessing as soon as possible (canon 916). A frequent reception of the Sacrament of Penance is encouraged for all." -USCCB
At St. Anthony's, children prepare for their First Holy Eucharist during their 2nd grade year. If you believe your child is ready to begin preparation, contact Amanda in our Faith Formation office at 365-4017 or [email protected]. First Communion is celebrated at our parish in May.
"What is it that is so special about the Eucharist? Although the Eucharist appears to be simple bread and wine, it is actually the “source and summit” of the Christian life. Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist explores the truth and beauty of Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist, from its origins in Sacred Scripture, to its profound role in the life of the Church and her members. It is the crescendo of the entire story of salvation."

“Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.” — James 5:14-15
