In an approved apparition for our time, Jesus taught St. Faustina Kowalska in the 1930s about His great mercy, and especially His mercy toward sinners.  Speaking of the Feast of Divine Mercy, Jesus said to St. Faustina, “On that day the depths of my mercy will be open to all. Whoever will go to confession and Holy Communion will receive complete forgiveness of sin and punishment. Mankind will not enjoy peace until it returns to My Mercy.”

Following the devotion of St. Pope John Paul II to the Divine Mercy, our former pastor, Father Jim Scheuer, brought to our parish a first class relic of Saint Faustina and with it, an afternoon of devotion to Divine Mercy on the Sunday after Easter. The devotions include Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, readings and reflections from St. Faustina's Diary, praying St. Faustina's Way of the Cross, the opportunity for Reconciliation, veneration of the Divine Mercy image and relic of St. Faustina, time for prayer, and praying of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
