"Perpetual Adoration with the exposition needs a great push. People ask me: "What will convert America and save the world?" My answer is prayer. What we need is for every Parish to come before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in holy hours of prayer." -Mother Teresa, MC, Calcutta, August 12, 1993
If you’ve never prayed in front of the Blessed Sacrament, we invite you to experience this beautiful tradition. Feel free to bring your Bible, devotional, rosary, or prayer journal. Or, just come as you are, and spend some quiet time with God.Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is at St. Anthony's every Thursday from 8:30 AM (following daily Mass at 8:00 AM) until 8:00 pm. (When there is a funeral, Adoration will begin at 1:30 pm.) We invite each parishioner to consider coming to Our Lord in Adoration for a 1/2 hour or hour each week. There are always time slots to fill; please see the schedule in the gathering space. If you are interested in signing up for a time slot, please contact Sharon Svatos at 365-6734 or Barbara Conder at 365-7428. Substitutes are always available if there is a week you are unable to be in attendance.
"Private time spent in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament is one of the most effective ways of drawing closer to Jesus. The world is filled with noise. We all need quiet time to gather our thoughts, to speak to God and to listen to Him. If we can do this in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament (Adoration), we are very fortunate. Our visits include adoration, thanksgiving, reparation and petition. Committing to a certain shift in His presence gives us an opportunity to pray for the needs of the universal church and for the needs of our own parishes and our families, our country and the world. This would be a time for quiet listening and great graces given to us." -Most Reverend Thomas V. Daily
JOIN THE PARISH VOCATIONS COMMITTEE EVERY THURSDAY TO PRAY DURING ADORATION at 7:00 pm to pray a Rosary for vocations to the priesthood and religious life in our diocese. Consider committing to one Thursday a month (or as much as you are able) to join us in prayer.
We will continue this throughout the year, please consider coming to join us.
